Job description: Sr. DB2 DBA- UnixLocation: Miami, FL or Irving, TXJD BelowResponsibilities:DB2 Database Migration from on-prem AIX to AWS EC2 RHEL including 100TB+ DB2 Data Warehouse – work with IBM support team.Installation, Configuration and maintenance of DB2 database on AWS EC2 RHEL.Designing and implementation of single and multi-partition db2 databases. Leverage of the DPF (Data Partition Feature) for parallel running at the OS level.Monitoring of db2 databases from the IBM DMC console and from the OS level.Maintenance on the database (reorg, runstats).Design and Implementation of DR and HA solutions.Backup and restore (online) db2 databases.Create comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.Database Upgrade and Patching.Mentoring and Training to junior DBAs and other IT staff.Required Skills:7+ years’ experience on production DB2 database management.Extensive knowledge on cross platform migration including from on-prem AIX db2 PDOA system to AWS IBM DW system.Extensive knowledge of the implementation and usage of the DB2 IBM DPF to leverage parallel processing across partitioned db2 nodes.Advanced skills on database and queries performance monitoring and tuning.2+ years’ experience of managing DB2 database on AWS – EC2 RHEL and AWS RDS.Good knowledge of AWS technologies, Terraform code and Jenkins.Knowledge of Hadoop or/and Cloudera Hadoop.Experience of Oracle/Cassandra/PostgreSQL is A plus.
